Plus: Touch screen plus full keyboard; excellent battery life.

Minus: Mediocre CPU performance; too many keyboard and touchpad compromises; high price tag compared with other Atom-powered devices.

The bottom line: The Viliv S7's small size and Netbook/tablet hybrid design are appealing, but its high price is illogical in a world of inexpensive portables.

HTC Touch Pro2

The HTC Touch Pro2 for Sprint really great. This gadget offers a gorgeous touch screen, a spacious keyboard, and a 3.5 millimeter jack. The Windows Mobile device also features world-roaming capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Unfortunately, the smartphone doesn't support international 3G bands. The device is bulky in size and also expensive. GPS acquisition was a bit slow in our tests and video streaming wasn't the smoothest.
